ALTI TALKS

Starting with 2021, the ALTI talks will take place regularly. ALTI members will organize round-table discussions on various technology law topics. 

The next ALTI talk is scheduled on the 15th of April, 12.30 CET, online via Zoom. 

Martien Schaub will offer a challenging presentation on "Onlineplarformen".

THE ALGORITHMIC SOCIETY - TECHNOLOGY, POWER, AND KNOWLEDGE: BOOK LAUNCH, HOSTED BY THE VUB CHAIR IN SURVEILLANCE STUDIES

On the 22nd of April 2021 at 15.00 CET, the book presentation of "The algorithmic society - technology, power, and knowledge" will take place via Teams. One of the editors of the book is our member Marc Schuilenburg. The book covers topics such as: 

  • Algorithmic governmentability;

  • Transparency and accountability;

  • Fairness in criminal justice and predictive policing;

  • Principles of good digital administration; and

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the smart city.
